Topic: Games vs. games (uppercase vs. lowercase) issues

Arcade version: 2.0.8



Hey... I read this thread (http://www.smfarcade.info/index.php/topic,2829.0.html) because I am having similar problems with Games (uppercase) where the the originals games where installed under SMF 1.1.1 and are working.  Now that the forum is 1.1.3 the Games directory is not functional for any new games I am trying to install because of the uppercase... is there a resolution for this that you know of?  When I change the directory name to lowercase i can't see the original installed games (swf or gif), but I see the one test game I did install.

Also, if I added an extra line to modifications.english.php as such ( $txt['arcade_manage_games'] = 'games';)  below the ($txt['arcade_manage_games'] = 'Games';) will that hurt/help anything?

Any help will be appreciated.

Try upgrading to 2.0.9 or 2.0.10 OR uploading the Arcade.english.php I posted here: http://www.smfarcade.info/index.php/topic,3221.0.html

Please make a backup of the original in case something goes wrong.

Hi Hun.. long time no chat... I uploaded the Arcade.english.php ... but still having the same issues.  I will try to upgrade to 2.0.9

You might want to check your FTP settings.I had an issue with installing games .It was my FTP had changed and installed everything in uppercase.Look in your FTP>tools>transfer files.Look for the upload and download options and then select lowercase for uploading and downloading.

Rider... I wasn't using FTP to upload the games I used the installer.... In one of my forums I have 575 games installed with the Games directory in uppercase and working with no issues.  Not sure why it is having this issue at this other site. Any other ideas?
